IMA Skimmer
The IMA Skimmer is a very special piece among walking the dog, as it has the stylized body shape of a 5" soft plastic stickbait.
This slim silhouette has proven to be one of the most seductive shapes for either largemouth bass or seabass in the sea. If you look at what's on the market you'll agree that the IMA Skimmer is really the only or one of the very few topwaters that sports it.
Much of the action/revolution of the IMA Skimmer is produced on every zig or zag, as the tail wiggles the water forcefully causing a big splash. For every twitch of the lure we have a tail response, heavier than the rest of the body and sinking, which shakes the surface and creates an anomalous situation, it looks like a predator is chasing a grass fish, which would be the head slipping in front of so much bubbling.
At the end, during the whole time of the retrieve we have the IMA Skimmer marking a wake fed by bubbles and whirlpools that looks like a chase of several predators and thus triggering that so important factor in bass and sea bass fishing, the effect of feeding competition, a chariot they all want to get on.
